Imagine noticing those small, seemingly insignificant, things in life. Imagine drawing your motivation from the greatness of humanity, music, laughter, love, and kindness. This is exactly what inspires artist Jenn Kovachik (AKA J.Kova) to use her talent and continue to create beautiful art. Jenn Kovachik had been creating for 10 years; starting with drawing in 2004 in her 20’s and soon transitioning to painting.
What she stands for!
Jenn enjoys supporting her community and participating in various events and causes. These causes include: Uniquely Me Fashion show (for the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society), Bryan Mudryk's Golf Classic Fundraiser (Cancer research), Ribbon Rouge 2013 + 2014 Event and Fundraiser (for HIV awareness), and also an art project/exhibit for missing and murdered women of Alberta.
Jenn Kovachik lives life knowing that everyone has the power to make a difference. She first quotes the amazing Theodore Roosevelt:
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
Then, thinking back on her later start into art (starting in her 20’s), Jenn adds:
“…it doesn't matter when you start practicing, as long as you start. And if you love it, do it often. You will become great at it. Extraordinary, even! The opportunities to make a difference in the world will come as soon you're open to it.”
We love this!
